GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB OOSTBURG

Golf and Country Club Oostburg - also known as the Brugse Vaart (Bruges Canal) - is a golf and country club, open to members and guests.  The complex extends over a wide area and includes a spaciously laid-out golf course, gardens and other golf accommodation.  The club house shows an unmistakeable feeling for timeless beauty.  This timeless quality can also be found in many of the other detailed features of the Brugse Vaart.  Situated in the western part of Dutch Flanders, the club is close to the Belgian border and just a short distance from the elegant coastal resort of Knokke-Heist.  Set amidst the wide and unspoiled landscape of Zeeland, this location was carefully chosen for its atmosphere of quiet calm.  Here there was still room enough to construct a magnificent 18 hole Championship Course, complete with all necessary ancillary facilities, with an option to add a further 18 holes at a later date.

The Brugse Vaart Golf Club was founded in 1986 in keeping with the Anglo-American philosophy of golf, a time-honoured philosophy which the club hopes to perpetuate into the future.  The membership is international, although the majority of our players are Belgian. Notwithstanding the superb quality of its golfing accommodation, Oostburg Golf Club is not an elite club.  It is, however, a club where etiquette and tradition are highly valued: an important nuance.
